IEP REVIEW

Every month, we will have IEP Review. You can sign up to bring your paperwork in and

meet with a Parent Liaison who can help you understand what it all means.

Before you come in, please ensure that you:

1. Have called and reserved time with a parent liaison;

2. Have gathered and organized ALL IEP paperwork

(Evaluations, IEP documents, IEP progress reports, etc.)

3. Have obtained a copy of It’s a New IDEA and read pg. 31 - 37

4. Read page 1 of your Procedural Safeguards document.

F2F - Katy Schedule

The Katy Chapter will be holding some daytime meetings (2nd or 3rd Tues.) at 11 am at TO BE DETERMINED , Katy in certain months.

For these events, please bring your respective IEP sections - we will help you learn and apply what you learn to your own child.

These trainings will build upon the prior training....so you may want to attend all!

Oct 12 - What the PLAAFP?

Evaluations, TAKS, Progress Reports, Report Cards - How do these items make up present levels of academic and functional performance?

Nov. 16 - Measurable Goals and Objectives

Now that you Understand PLAAFP, how can you tell if your goals and objectives are appropriate? How is progress measured? What about grading?

Jan 18 - Placement & LRE

You have developed your IEP goals and objectives, now let's look at how to determine placement. It is a lot easier than just picking from two options!

Mar 22 - AAACK!! Graduation and Transition Planning

Learn what a good transition plan should include, understand needs, and then ensure that it matches your graduation plan.

In addition, we will hold some evening trainings at 7 pm in collaboration with Katy Autism Support, Katy – ADDA, and Katy DSAH at TO BE DETERMINED:
