Attention Deficit Disorder Association - This site provides information and news articles on ADD and related issues; a bookstore; a listing of support groups; personal stories and more.

 

Attention Deficit Disorder Association - Southern Region - The web site of the Attention Deficit Disorder Association Southern Region providing information to assist parents, teachers, professionals, adults with ADHD or anyone wanting to learn more about ADHD in Texas. The site includes links to support groups, training events, and other resources. They sponsor an annual conference.

 

ADDitude Magazine is an online magazine providing “information and inspiration for adults and children with attention deficit disorder since 1999.”

A.D.D. Warehouse - This is the A.D.D. Warehouse home page, “the leading resource for the understanding and treatment of all developmental disorders, including ADHD and related problems.” It is an online catalog of books, videos, training programs, games, professional texts and assessment products.

 

Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder - This site discusses treatment and research. Also included are booklets, magazine articles, and web links.

CHADD - This is the web site of Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. CHADD is a national, non-profit organization that focuses on support, education, and advocacy for individuals with ADD/ADHD and their families. The site provides information on AD/HD and current research; legislative issues; CHADD position papers and news releases; web links, and more.

Developmental Delay Resources - “A nonprofit organization dedicated to meeting the needs of children who have developmental delays in sensory motor, language, social, and emotional areas.” It includes links to Internet resources that cover topics such as: ADD, Auditory Integration, Autism & PDD, diet & nutrition, Learning Disabilities, Sensory Integration, and more.

 

Greatschools.net - This website believes involved parents mean successful kids. They offer a variety of information from preschool to college with a section devoted to Learning Difficulties & ADHD. They also have worksheets & activities, homework help, parenting dilemmas, and information on health & behavior.

 

LD Online - "the leading website on learning disabilities for parents, teachers, and other professionals”. It includes information on a wide range of topics within the area of learning disabilities; a comprehensive list of resources and web links; teaching and assessment strategies; a Kid Zone page; and more. They have a separate section on ADHD Basics.

 

National Dissemination Center for Children with Disabilities (NICHCY) - This site serves the nation as a central source of information on disabilities in infants, toddlers, children, and youth. Here, you’ll also find easy-to-read information on IDEA, the law authorizing early intervention services and special education. They have a fact sheet on AD/HD.

 

Texas Education Agency School Health - In accordance with HB 1322 passed by the 81st Legislative Session in 2009, TEA added fact sheets to its website on specific disabilities. Fact sheets (in pdf format) offer an overview of the disorder, symptoms or behaviors associated with the disorder, educational implications, and instructional strategies and classrooms accommodations that might be provided.

 

US Dept of Education - They offer a research report entitled “Identifying and Treating Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder: A Resource for School And Home”.
